Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bekwai, in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Kwaku Kyei-Baffour has admonished prospective individuals seeking to become Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in their respective areas to be decent.
“We are all NPP members and I believe everyone qualifies for the post position. But the important thing is that we should not resort to throwing mud at our opponent which will not augur well for our development. Let be clean to each other”, he spoke on Kumasi-based Akoma FM morning show monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
Reacting to claims of animosity between himself and Hon. Joseph Owusu, MP for the area, he told the host, Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin that he has a good working relationship with the lawmaker as well as party executives.
“There is no bad blood between me and my MP Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu as perceived by some outsiders. I am fine with all my constituency executives as well”, the MCE dispelled the rumors.
“Prior to the 2020 polls, we all worked together for the victory of NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo, therefore it is very preposterous to believe that, everything I do as MCE, my MP is not part… unbelievable”, Hon. Kwaku Kyei-Baffour added.
He therefore urged the general public to discard social media posts by one George Atta Ntiri that there is no peace in the Bekwai Constituency.
