PSG Defender Kimpembe Handed Three Match Ban After ‘dangerous’ Tackle On Jérémy Doku

Paris Saint Germain defender Presnel Kimpebe has been handed a three-game ban for a dangerous tackle on Stade Rennais attacker Jeremy Doku in the Ligue I clash on Sunday.

The French defender was shown the marching orders in the 87th minute after awkwardly sliding in the Belgium-born Ghanaian forward.

The referee went straight for his red card as he dismissed the PSG defender.

He will miss three games including one on probation.

Brazilian superstar Neymar scored from the spot at the stroke of halftime.

But Rennais leveled on 70 minutes after Serhou Guirassy rose high to head in from a corner kick.

The draw dealt a huge blow on PSG’s title ambition as the gap between them and leaders Lille widens to three points.

Doku, who joined Stade Rennais last summer has made 28 appearances this season, scoring two goals in the Ligue I.
