Man Lands In Hospital After Getting Stabbed With A Screwdriver Over Dog Fight Dispute
In a rather ludicrous development, a man from Harare’s Crowhill suburb was hospitalized after he was fatally stabbed during a dispute over a dog fight.
Austin Nyabanga was admitted at Parirenyatwa Hospital after he sustained a deep cut during an altercation over a dog fight.
The alleged aggressor, Kembo Chatyora appeared before a Harare Magistrates Court facing assault charges.
Allegations are that on an unspecified date, Nyabanga and Chatyora two met at a shebeen in Crowhill and their dogs barked at each other.
Chatyora allegedly hit Nyabanga’s dog with a brick. Infuriated Nyabanga confronted Chatyora and a fight ensued. The accused allegedly produced a screwdriver and stabbed the complainant, who sustained a deep cut.
Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi remanded Chatyora in custody to today (Thursday), ZTN reports

In other news reported by iHarare, a Shurugwi-based artisanal miner was left with permanent injuries after his left leg was amputated following a brutal attack by rivals in a suspected love triangle.
Simon Vingirayi lost consciousness as blood gushed from his left knee after his assailant axed him three times on a large vein and doctors had to amputate the leg above the knee to save his life.
Vingirayi, only regained consciousness after he had been admitted to Gweru Provincial Hospital where his leg was amputated.
The matter was reported to the police leading to the arrest of the two brothers and their friend.
Three artisanal miners who include two brothers from Shurugwi, Charles (29) and Philbert Chingwaya (22) and Tafadzwa Rundora (31) before Gweru Regional magistrate Phathekile Msipa facing a count each of attempted murder.
