Liverpool have reportedly joined the race for in-demand Ghana youngster Kamaldeen Sulemana but they are considered outsiders to sign him.
Liverpool is the latest club to have shown interest in Sulemana, who is enjoying a remarkable season in Denmark with Nordsjaelland, after Ajax and Manchester United.
The Reds reportedly sent their Scandinavian scout Mads Jorgensen to examine Sulemana’s performance against Copenhagen on Monday night.
Fortunately, the winger proved his readiness for the top clubs with a man of the match performance. The 19-year-old registered his 10th goal of the season in the 2-2 stalemate.
Ajax football director Marc Overmars was also present at the stadium.
They both were impressed and have delivered positive news about Kamaldeen to their clubs, Ghanasoccernet.com understands.
Kamaldeen is expected to leave Nordsjaelland in the summer after he openly admitted to wanting a new challenge.
But he will stay if the interested clubs fail to meet his £12 million valuation.
Ajax, considered frontrunners in the transfer race, had a £10 million offer rejected in the January transfer window.
