The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu has sent a strong warning to embattled actress Rosemond Brown aka Akuapem Poloo who was recently released from the Nsawam Prisons pending a review of an application over her naked photo case involving her seven-year-old son to desist from roping the President’s image into her matter, MyNewsGh.com reports.
The social media sensation, who spoke at news conference on Saturday, thanked President Akufo-Addo, Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame and a long list of others including celebrities who she said supported her in various ways to gain her ‘freedom’.
“I thank God for hearing my prayers and taking me out of this matter, I want to thank my father Nana Akufo-Addo too because when my friends in the media and followers petitioned him, he didn’t look down on me and listened to me. Attorney General also came in and listened. All of them listened to me and released me,” she said before bursting into tears.
But in a reaction to the matter on Kumasi-based Pure FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the Bekwai MP has cautioned the Actress to keep the President’s name most especially from her woes.
“Don’t involve the President and any non-judicial Officer in this matter. Leave the President out of it.” He cautioned.
The Accra High Court on Wednesday granted Akuapem Poloo GHC80,000 bail with two surgeries after her Lawyer filed an application for bail pending the determination of her appeal case.
She was earlier handed a 90 days jail sentence for posting naked pictures of herself and her son on social media.
