Jilted Man Commits Suicide After Killing Ex-Wife’s Three Month Old Baby

In a horrific development, a jilted man from Marange committed suicide after killing his ex-wife’s three-month-old baby, following a misunderstanding between the estranged couple.

According to reports reaching iHarare, Weston Chikukwa and his 17-year-old ex-wife had a misunderstanding on Wednesday with Chikukwa accusing her of rushing into another marriage after their separation.

Chikukwa who could not stomach the fact that his ex-wife was already getting married to another man just a few months after they ended their marriage is alleged to have stabbed his ex-wife with a knife four times before she escaped and then he turned his anger on the teen mother’s three-month-old baby whom he stabbed three times.

The infant sadly died on admission at the hospital while the teen mother who sustained serious injuries is receiving treatment at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital.

Chikukwa was found dead at his home after allegedly committing suicide, the state media reports.

Zimbabwe Republic Police Manicaland Provincial Spokesperson, Inspector Luxson Chananda, confirmed the tragic incident and urged members of the public to resolve their differences amicably.

In other news reported by iHarare, a  45-year-old Beatrice woman was recently slapped with a 16 years jail term for raping her three sons for a month in April last year.

Chitungwiza regional magistrate Noel Mupeiwa convicted the woman after a full trial. This comes after prosecuting Trinity Mandebvu proved that the convicted woman raped his three sons, one aged six and twins aged 8.

Mupeiwa noted that the woman was mentally stable and castigated her behavior that eventually led her sons to become sexually active and abused a neighbor’s daughter.
