If I’m killed like late JB, my killers will walk free

Hon Kennedy Agyapong has expressed worry over the fact that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been in power for five years but have still not brought finality to the murder of JB Danquah Adu.

The late J.B. Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death on February 9, 2016, at his Shiashie residence in Accra.

Daniel Asiedu, who is the prime suspect, was arrested two days after the incident. However, this case is still pending in court several years after his death.

Speaking to the issue, the Assin Central lawmaker expressed his worry over the neglect of the case by the political party to which he belonged to before his untimely death.

“It is interesting that J.B. Danquah NPP is in power and they’ve kept quiet. They know the killer, they know. You think I’m afraid, this time, I’m not afraid…I’ve never been afraid because if a whole sitting MP and for almost eight years and nobody has said anything and NPP is in power and enjoying power. It simply means if I should be killed today, that’s it.”

Kenned Agyapong indicated that prior to election 2020 there was a video in circulation where the prime suspect apologized to some elements in the National Democratic Conress and if the Police were sharp, they could have used that video to deal with the people behind the death of the Member of Parliament.
