“I Feel Nothing For Him”- Jacob Zuma’s Father-in-law Speaks Following His Incarceration
As former president Jacob Zuma settles in his prison cell at Escourt Correctional Centre, many in Mzansi including celebrities are sympathising with him, but not his father-in-law, Fartescue Conco.
Speaking after Zuma’s incarceration, the father of the Real Housewives of Durban star Nonkanyiso Conco (Zuma’s baby mama) revealed that what happened to the former president doesn’t make him feel sad neither does he sympathize with his son-in-law.
“Zuma never treated me like his father-in-law. He never respected me, so why should I sympathise with him. I feel nothing?” said Fartescue.
Conco said he is a praying man and when asked if he prayed for Zuma’s arrest, the 92-year-old said he didn’t wish to talk about it.
“I pray and I pray hard. I’m too old to be disrespected. I’m not saying Zuma’s arrest is good or bad, but it doesn’t affect me,” said Fartescue.
Conco bemoaned how Jacob Zuma disrespected him in 2018 when he wanted to pay lobola for his daughter Nonkanyiso.
According to the Daily Sun, Conco claims that Zuma didn’t pay lobola to him but instead went to pay it to Nonkanyiso’s mother in Eastern Cape, against his instruction.
Conco added that Zuma’s failure to heed his instructions caused a strain between him and his daughter.
Following this debacle, in the same year, Conco told the media that he was praying to his ancestors to deal with Zuma.
He’s still insisting that Zuma owes him lobola money.
Meanwhile, Jacob Zuma’s incarceration has since sparked unrest in South Africa.
Zuma was convicted of contempt of court last month after failing to attend an inquiry into corruption during his presidency.
He handed himself to police last Wednesday to start serving his 15-months prison sentence, However this sparked violent protests, arson attacks, and opportunistic looting in his home province of KwaZulu-Natal which spread to other cities and towns.
