Horror Scenes As Bar Lady Is Murdered In Cold Blood In A Nightclub

In a horrific development, a bar lady from Banket was last week murdered in cold blood in a nightclub under unclear circumstances.

Shelter Wundi’s (27) lifeless body was found with cuts on the neck and head and stab wounds on the chest by one of the bar general workers.

Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the tragic incident to a local tabloid saying;

“Police are investigating a suspected murder case where a female bar attendant was found dead in a pool of blood,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.

Assistant Commissioner  Nyathi revealed that some bond notes amounting to RTGS$8 890 were found splashed all over the crime scene and whilst United States dollars reported to have been placed in a cash box were missing.

According to the police report, Panashe Nhau, who is a disc jockey and cleaner at the nightclub is the one who discovered Shelter’s body in a pool of blood when he returned to the bar at around 7 am to perform his duties.

Nhau allegedly discovered the body after making several efforts to call the now deceased to open the door.

When he realised that she was not responding and it was then that he peeped through the window and saw her legs in an awkward position.

Terrified by what he had witnessed, he dashed out and notified their grandmother about the incident. After that, he then informed the owner of the nightclub about the incident.

The club owners reacted swiftly and attended to the scene before calling the police.

A young brother to the nightclub owner, Munyaradzi Kuyambwa, believes Shelter had recognized one of the assailants who went on to stab her with a knife several times on the neck.

Shelter was buried on Sunday at Banket Cemetery and the police have since launched investigations to establish what actually happened on that fateful night.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Nyathi warned bars operating against Covid-19 regulations.
