Glad And Humbling Experience – Dr. Nyarku Applauds Spotlight Awards Africa For Honouring Him


Cape Coast, 29th June, 2021, People are awarded and recognised for their contributions in various fields of endeavour and awarding such ones are to show appreciation for their meritorious service to humanity.

Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku aka Ragga has been teaching entrepreneurship as a Scholar at the University of Cape Coast for several years. He was also the Coordinator of the UCC Business Incubator before venturing into politics.

Before and after being voted for as the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North, he has embarked upon a lot of entrepreneurship training for the teaming youth in his constituency.

His vision as an MP is to train a lot more people in entrepreneurship to help reduce the unemployment rate in his constituency and the country at large.

Even though a first time MP, his contributions towards entrepreneurship and capacity building has caught the attention of his constituency, many Ghanaians and beyond, and particularly, Spotlight Awards Africa.

Spotlight Awards Africa was organized by Spotmark Ideas Consult in partnership with La Palm Royal Beach Resort and Abbeam Group of Companies.

The main rationale for the scheme is to reward young enterprising youth across Africa who are making positive impact as well as create avenues of opportunities and also to honour great feet.

At this years event, held last Friday night, 25th day of June, 2021, 17 young enterprising youth were rewarded and 7 great men honoured.

Among the awardees was Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, the Member of Parliament for the people of Cape Coast North was awarded as the Outstanding Politician in Entrepreneurship and Capacity Building.

On receiving the award, Dr. Nyarku thanked the organizers for the honour than him. “I’m very happy and surprised for this and at the same time very humbled for this. This would spur me on to do more for my Constituents”.

The Cape Coast North MP was in the company of his beloved mother Dr (Mrs) Delphina Aba Adabie-Gomez, father, Wing Commander Daniel Kwamina Gomez, and sister, Audrey.

The other honorees were Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, Hon Musah Abdul Aziz Ayaaba, Tic Tac the musician, Eric Edem Agbana, Chairman Stephen Ofosu Agyare, Chairman, Agyare Estate and Kobby Kyei a blogger

Other important invitees at the programme were the General Manager of La Palm Royal Beach, Mr. Isaac Gyadu, 1st Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic, Dr Peter Boamah Otukunor, Rev Abbeam Ampomah Danso, Chairman, Abbeam Group, Eric Adjei, Bono Region Deputy Communications Officer of the NDC among others.
