Ghanaian forward Joseph Painstil is expected at KRC Genk this summer when preparations begin for next season.
The 23-year-old returns to his parent club after a successful loan spell in Turkey.
Painstil finished the 2020/21 season as Ankaragucu’s top scorer with 11 goals despite the club’s demotion.
The former Tema Youth player is attracting interest from the Super Lig but Genk manager John Van den Brom is ready to give the Ghanaian the chance to fight for a place in his team.
KRC Genk completed the season as runners-up in the Jupiler Pro League and will need the services of the player with European football on the table.
The ex-Ghana U-20 star joined Genk in 2018 from Tema Youth winning the league title in his first campaign.
But competition for places became fierce forcing him to go on loan in Turkey.
He returns in a rich vein of form.
