Ghana is not perfect but things are not worst; at least we’re better than Nigeria – Afia Pokua Vim Lady

Journalist with Despite Media Group Afia Pokuaa popularly known as Vim Lady has chided Ghanaians calling for a revolution in Ghana over current difficulties cautioning that although all is not perfectly well with Ghana, we are certainly not in worst times.

According to her, Even Nigerians aspire to be like Ghana and come here to stay as further evidence of our relatively better systems.

“… Ghana is not perfect, but Ghana is certainly not the worst. Even Nigerians want to be like us they want to come and stay here”.

She said the solutions to the problems the country is facing cannot be solved by the call for revolution, educating listeners about some of the dangers and hurts that came with past revolutions.

“Yes, let’s push our leader, we voted for you for so so and so, but don’t ever wish for a revolution. If you know Kwabena Agyepong go and ask him. If you know the family of Colonel Felli go and ask them. Go and ask the family of Major Courage Quarshigah go and ask them, what they suffered under the revolution. Go and ask people in Ghana. Ask Makola market women.”

Narrating what Makola women endured, she said “They were whipped and beaten on their private parts. They open your two legs wide and the vagina received lashes. You will never wish for a revolution. Some people’s parents died and they had no one to take care of them.”
