Ghana forward Bernard Tekpetey is hoping to earn a national team call-up following an impressive season with Bulgarian giants Ludogorets.
Tekpetey, on loan from Schalke, has been key for Ludogorets as they clinched the league title this season.
The 23-year-old is confident his remarkable season with the Bulgarian side will see him return to the Black Stars for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“Of course, since I already played for the national team, I will not be surprised to receive a call-up. I try to do my best for my club and after the scouts and coaches follow me and decide that my performance is good and I get a call-up, I will be really happy to present my nation again.
It’s all about prayers and hard work, and that’s what I do here. So, if they think I’m doing well and I’m invited, I’ll be happy to be back on the national team, “said Tekpetei.
