Female-led robbery gang arrested in Cape Coast

Two members of a four-member robbery gang led by a woman have been arrested at Kotokuraba, the Central Business District of the Cape Coast Municipality.

According to a resident who fell victim to attack, he boarded a taxi cab with a female and three male occupants including the driver from Mfantsipim junction to Nkanfoa and sat on the back seat in-between the lady and one male passenger.

But Ton reaching a section on the Antem road the lady pulled a knife on the hm and the male tried to pull his hand bag from him.

The victim revealed that he struggled with them and began shouting but the driver of the taxi cab rolled up the aide glasses while the male suspect placed a handkerchief on his nose and he became unconscious.

 According to him, he woke up in a bush at North Ola, Cape Coast same day at about 10:30pm and realised that his black hand bag containing the following items had been stolen; cash the sum of GHS 3,000.00 and one Techno cell phone valued GHS250.00.

Days later, he spotted one of the male suspects and the woman who robbed him and raised an alarm and were arrested and assaulted by people around.

The timely intervention of the Regional Police Patrol team saved the suspects from being lynched as they rescued them and sent them to Cape Coast Metro Police Station.
